Moelltaler Glacier is easy reachable from Gastein:

The Moelltaler Glacier itself is already impressive! But the fact that it is the highest and snow safest ski region of its time lets the heart of every winter sportsman/woman beat a little faster. With its many sun hours, that are more than above average, and its unique panorama view on 30 3000-meter mountains, the Moelltaler Glacier belongs to the most impressive regions within the national park Hohe Tauern. This alone reflects pure enjoyment. And the very best: it is very close to the beautiful and quiet Gasteiner valley.

This unique glacier skiing region with a snow guarantee starting November invites early in the year to “powder” as much as you want. On request a taxi will pick you up at your lodging in Gastein and bring you directly to the Moelltaler Gletscher or up the Kitzsteinhorn. Already in fall you can enjoy amazing skiing days on a spectacular glacier. At the end of the day the taxi shuttle will pick you up again at the respective glacier-valley station and brings you back to Gastein.
